I'm the Laura behind Laura Gares Photography, and I wholeheartedly love what I do. Whether it's your once-in-a-lifetime dream wedding day, or capturing memories of your family visiting for the holidays, I truly love it all. Getting to have something tangible you can relive over and over again is such a beautiful thing!
My love for photography started back when I was fourteen years old. My mom got us a "family camera", which was this little point-and-shoot. It was the most exciting thing ever! I quickly went from taking photos of my family, or my cat (there were MANY photos taken of my cat...), to asking my friends to model for me. I had so much fun with that little camera! Alas, I have since then upgraded my gear, attended art school for photography, and am technically a grown-up now. Life has changed a lot since I was fourteen, but my love for photography has only deepened. And for any gear nerds out there: I currently use a Canon R6 Mirrorless and prime lenses!
Aside from photography, here's a few other things I love:
My Savior. I love Jesus with all of my heart, and wish to live my life pursuing Him. In my personal and professional life, my goal is to honor Him in all that I do!
My family. I am so blessed to be married to my best friend, Zach (going on eight years, now!). He's my favorite person in the world, and I am so thankful for the life we have together. We are raising two boys, Gabriel and Asher, and one crazy puppy Freya (whom we love like a third child). My heart is full.
My home. I was born and raised in Bucks County, and am thankful to call it home still! One of my favorite things to do is drive around with no clear direction in mind, just exploring creation. I love finding new hidden gems with clients and being reminded over and over just how beautiful our hometowns are.
