Jill + John | Elopement at The Inn at Whitewing Farm

Jill and John opted to elope in a quiet ceremony with just their immediate families and two closest friends at Whitewing Farm, a charming B+B in Brandywine, PA. And I have to say, Jill and John were incredibly easy to work with and both were so calm and laidback during the celebration of their union. After the ceremony, we headed over to Longwood Gardens for portraits with the newlyweds!

While the ceremony was short and sweet, I met up with the new Mr. and Mrs. again a few days later for their reception celebration at a lakefront cabin in the Adirondacks, NY. Much like Jill and John, this reception was cool and casual where guests mingled and enjoyed the scenic views from the private boat dock. Everyone was free to roam about and sit back with one another without the need for a fancy assigned table or a sit down dinner- although there were appetizers and sweet treats served along with beer and wine, it felt more like a backyard party with no fuss or stress. A wedding like Jill and John’s was exactly what I needed in the height of a busy wedding season; a little break from the norm but still doing what I love when it comes to photographing couples!
