About the shoot

Join us for our next Enneagram Type inspired styled shoot at the lovely Pearl S Buck House! This shoot has been a long time coming (since 2020!) and is our second-to-last shoot to complete the Enneagram Series project I started back during my daydreaming during Covid quarantine days.

I’m excited for this vision to finally come to life! This stunning summer shoot will be showcased with a blue and cream color palette, hydrangeas and vintage vibes. Think cozy, almost backyard feels with sentimental notes of nostalgia, like from your Grandma’s era. Paired with the stone architecture of this historical site, lush gardens and a greenhouse, this shoot has been curated for SUCH a long time, with the perfect-fit venue in mind. Eeek, and it’s finally happening now!!!!

Notes about the shoot:

We will only have 3 photographers per group max, in order to provide lots of space and time for each photographer to get plenty of images! These groups will rotate every 20 minutes throughout the stations. These stations include details such as reception setups (which include florals, tablescape, cake, signature food/drink display), wedding inspired flat lay details, and bride and groom model couple. And then a bonus “station” at the end of the shoot, for freestyle time where we can mix and match the stations and pose the Couple with the reception, drinks, cake, etc... Total on-site time for shoot is 1 hour 20 minutes.

For any interested in the Enneagram and why the blue color palette, here are some fun facts about that :)

  • Type Twos are empathetic, sincere, and warm-hearted. They are friendly, generous, and sentimental. In the sweetest way, this shoot was inspired almost by the idea of “not your grandmother’s wedding”. Gardens and old stone architecture, blue hydrangeas and warm bread on the reception table, on a nostalgic blue and white dish you may have seen at your own Grandma’s home. There’s an easy, comfortable love present. And when you’re with a Type 2, you feel at home.

  • As noted in Just My Enneatype - Blue is most commonly associated with the sky and the sea, which can represent Twos in several ways. Calm waters and clear blue skies demonstrate calmness, peace, stability, which are qualities that Twos can embody. Twos thrive off of being the necessary reliability and ease in the lives of the people they know and love. The sky and the sea can also bring about fierce storms, which is appropriate because Twos are more than just nice and calm. In health, Twos can love like a mighty ocean, moving mountains to give the love needed to the people in their lives.

So, you can either nerd out along with me on all things Enneagram related, or you can simply be excited to photograph a magical shoot at a beautiful and historical wedding venue. Either way :)
