About the shoot

Join us for something fun and a little out of the norm… a non-wedding styled shoot!
Girls Just Want to Have Fun: A feminine & floral editorial. This shoot will consist of 5 female models, all in colorful or floral gowns (no white wedding dresses), as well as a few table setups consisting of table scape decor, treats and goodies and drinks. No flat lays, no groom - this is not a wedding styled shoot! The rotating “stations” will be each model (5 of them) and the table decor. We will also have a freestyle time in the middle of the shoot where we’ll group the girls together, and also again and the end of the shoot. We will only have 3 photographers per group max, in order to provide lots of space and time for each photographer to get plenty of images! These groups will rotate every 15 minutes throughout the stations (6 stations + 2 freestyle station times). Total on-site time is 2 hours and 15 minutes. Setups will be primarily outside, weather permitting.

We are working on having some really cool photo op areas for the models. Every setup will have lots of lush florals, and some setups will include: a swing hanging from a tree, a tandem bike, a chair/couch setup, a large oak tree, a pink telephone booth (!!!). We will also have props on site optional to use, such as: a vintage telephone, heart shaped sunglasses, bubbles, lollipops, and food goodies. (Which will also be part of the table setups and can be used/eaten during the group freestyle time).

While this will be as organized and communicative and I always try to be for each of my shoots, this one is a lot more “free-spirited”. There is a second freestyle station time where we’ll be mixing and matching groups and models, as well as a quick several minutes for some of the girls to change dresses. Above, I wrote ideas and plans for setups and props, but these are subject to change. The general mood board ideas of girls in fun dresses and lots of florals is happening, and my ideas on the specifics are evolving and I’m always open to new ideas! I really want this to be a stress free shoot and just a really fun and creative outlet for all of us.
